The best equipment investment I have ever made. This cart is very well-made and durable and can take some bumps and bruises. This is good because it might take a couple rounds to master the steering. I’ve had mine run away from me b/c I was careless about ensuring I had actually hit the stop button on the remote, and once I tried to navigate too close to a sand bunker. I also discovered I need to be careful of allowing the sensors to be blocked (as mine was with a golf towel hanging from my bag). The carts behavior was erratic at times and I thought there was an issue, but once I made sure to keep the sensors clear it’s been great. Once I got the hang of it (maybe the 4th round, I would say) it’s been smooth sailing. The follow mode is much easier and works better with the little extra cord they sell as an accessory. I resisted using it at first for fear of looking like a tech-geek on the course, but now would highly recommend the extra investment. I paid up for the CaddieTrek because it had the follow feature and I’m glad I did! I feel like a pro walking down the fairways unencumbered by the cart, bag, etc. I tried the march mode and didn’t like it as much…was a little difficult to keep it moving straight and in front of me. The extra little wheel has come into play a few times and it works great keeping the cart from tipping back. I works not just on uphill fairways, but also on the little hills encountered in the rough. Very good design! Everything on this unit is top quality, including the charging cords and accessories I added on. I do wish the unit was a little more secure when folded up. By that I mean I wish the parts clicked into place when folded up so the unit stays compact and folded when loading and unloading into my car. I would be good too if the battery was easier to put in and take out while the unit is folded. I remove the battery to recharge it after a round, but can see how charging in the unit while folded up could be a bit difficult…the cover on the battery case doesn’t open fully while folded up and takes a little finagling. And I would be remiss if I did not mention that my back feels great after 18 holes of walking without pushing the cart! And I know I’m going to love it more once the hot days of summer return! I highly recommend this!
